Pakistan, Oct. 22 -- Sri Lanka has decided to postpone the 2025 edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). The tournament was originally scheduled to be held from December 1 to December 23 this year. However, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced that the league will now be held at a later date.

According to officials, the decision was made to focus entirely on preparations for the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup. The global tournament is set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February and March next year. Officials said this shift in priorities is necessary to ensure the event runs smoothly.
