Pakistan, March 23 -- A local court in Lahore has cancelled the arrest warrants of actress Nazish Jahangir in a fraud and intimidation case.
Judicial Magistrate Ghulam Shabbir Sial heard the case, during which Nazish Jahangir appeared before the court along with her lawyer, Barrister Harris Sohl. The court revoked the arrest warrants upon submission of bail bonds worth Rs. 50,000.
It bears mentioning that the case was filed by actor Aswad Haroon. The petitioner said he lent Jahangir Rs2.5 million and a car for two months but 'she has not returned either despite the passage of due date'.
Moreover, Haroon said the police failed to provide him justice in the first place. Hence, he requested the court to help him get his money and car.
