Pakistan, June 24 -- NATO leaders gathered in The Hague, Netherlands, for a crucial two-day summit on Tuesday. The meeting aims to unite the 32-member alliance around a new defense spending pledge or risk deepening divisions among its members.
The main goal is to have all members spend 5% of their gross domestic product (GDP) on defense by 2035. However, some countries, like Spain, have called this target "unreasonable," while the U.S. under President Donald Trump has also resisted fully committing.
