Pakistan, Jan. 23 -- Pakistan's national cricketers fell victim to a massive fraud, losing nearly 88 crore rupees collectively. One former player lost around 90 crore. The scam involved a businessperson who disappeared after duping the players and an agent.
The fraud reportedly targeted current and former national players, including captains, who invested in a business venture under the guidance of a former team leader. Initially, investors received unusually high returns, which encouraged more investment. However, the businessman suddenly vanished, leaving players unable to recover their funds despite repeated attempts to contact him.
