Pakistan, Nov. 13 -- The National Assembly will debate and approve new rules for the Army, Navy, and Air Force on Friday. The legislation follows the recent 27th constitutional amendment. It aims to align all three services with updated operational and administrative requirements.

Under the amended constitution, the Prime Minister will appoint the Chief of Defence Forces, Air Chief, and Naval Chief on the Army Chief's recommendation. The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee chairman position will end on November 27, 2025. Officers promoted to field marshal, air marshal, or admiral will retain their ranks, privileges, and uniforms for life.
