Pakistan, Jan. 26 -- Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced that Gul Plaza victims will receive rebuilt shops within two months. He said each affected shopkeeper will also get 5 lakh rupees to manage household expenses temporarily. The government will provide a one-crore-rupee loan for reconstruction, with the interest paid by the Sindh government.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Shah said the loss of life cannot be undone. Families of those who died will receive one crore rupees. The government will rebuild the Gul Plaza building in collaboration with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce. Damaged goods will also be replaced with the chamber's support.
