Pakistan, July 19 -- A motorcyclist was killed on Friday morning after being run over by a speeding truck in the Saudabad area of Karachi, prompting a violent reaction from bystanders who assaulted the driver and set the vehicle on fire, police said.

The incident occurred near Malir's RCD Ground when a truck carrying cement bags struck 59-year-old Baqar Saeed, a local milk delivery worker, killing him on the spot.

Eyewitnesses said the truck was travelling at high speed from Kala Board and the driver appeared to be operating the vehicle recklessly. Some locals claimed he was under the influence of drugs.

The driver attempted to flee but was caught and beaten by residents before being handed over to police. The truck was later set ablaz...
