Pakistan, July 16 -- LAHORE - Heavy monsoon rains have wreaked havoc across Punjab, killing at least 27 people and injuring dozens in rain-related incidents, with Lahore suffering the highest number of casualties. Authorities have warned of continued downpours in the coming days.

In Lahore alone, 12 lives were lost due to roof collapses, electrocutions, and other accidents. Torrential rain overnight turned roads into flooded canals, causing severe disruptions in transportation and daily life across the city.
