Pakistan, July 20 -- A powerful southwest monsoon system, combined with a westerly wave, has triggered widespread flood alerts across Pakistan from July 19 to 25. The National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) has warned of flash floods, urban flooding, and glacial water surges, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas. These alerts apply to vulnerable districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, and Islamabad, where heavy rainfall may cause major disruptions.
