Pakistan, July 8 -- LAHORE - Heavy monsoon rains hit Lahore and nearby areas early Tuesday, flooding low-lying neighborhoods and causing widespread power outages due to tripped electricity feeders. The downpour, which began during the night, left many roads waterlogged and affected daily life across the city.
Several key areas, including Shimla Pahari, Lakshmi Chowk, Jail Road, Gulberg, Airport, and Johar Town, reported intense rainfall. Streets in these locations quickly became submerged, making it difficult for vehicles to pass and leaving many commuters stranded or delayed during morning hours.
