Pakistan, July 5 -- Mobile phone services have started shutting down in Karachi as authorities implement strict security arrangements for 9th Muharram processions across the country. Similar actions are being taken in other major cities, including Lahore, Islamabad, and Quetta.
In Karachi, signals began fading by mid-morning in areas where central processions are expected. Sensitive locations and procession routes have been sealed off. Police and Rangers have been deployed in large numbers to ensure safety and maintain peace.
