Punjab Group Chairman Mian Amer Mahmood said Pakistan's growth depends on smaller provinces and empowered local governments, stressing that public awareness is the foundation of democracy and fair resource distribution.

Speaking at a seminar organized by APSUP at the University of Faisalabad, he noted that historically monarchs collected wealth for empires, but when people realized exploitation, democracy emerged to protect citizens' rights and resources.
