Pakistan, Aug. 24 -- Actress, singer and humanitarian Mehwish Hayat has said that she is ready to play the role of a mother as well as a grandmother.

In a statement, the actress hinted at directing films in the coming five years and hoped that new talent will also join her.

"New Pakistani films have proven to be oxygen for the industry," she added.
