Pakistan, Feb. 18 -- A female medical student died after falling from the fourth floor of a hostel at Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) in Lahore late Tuesday night, prompting concern among students and an official inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to university officials, the student, a resident of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, was living in the government hostel on campus. Fellow students discovered her lying in a pool of blood and immediately alerted the administration, after which she was rushed to the emergency department of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, which is affiliated with the university.
