Mayor of Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan has given a lollipop of 20 billion rupees for Karachi, while in reality this city needs at least 200 billion rupees. Sitting in Islamabad cannot solve Karachi's problems; the city requires consistent work at the local level. This year, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) will spend 28 billion rupees on development projects, while 10 billion rupees have also been allocated for projects at the town level.
