Pakistan, July 14 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed officials to speed up the implementation of the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar (Own Roof, Own Home) project, emphasizing that providing shelter to the poor is the true success of the state.

Chairing a high-level meeting in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz received a detailed briefing on the progress of the housing scheme. She was informed that over 51,911 underprivileged families have already received housing loans under the program.

So far, a substantial amount of Rs 60.5 billion has been distributed to support low-income households. The chief minister stated that this project is not just about walls and bricks-it marks a fresh start for families in need.
