Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Nawaz Sharif Cardiac Centre at Samli Sanatorium Hospital in Murree on Wednesday, marking a major milestone in healthcare access for the hill station's residents. She said Murree was like a second home after Lahore and emphasized her strong emotional attachment with the area.

During her address, the chief minister explained that previously there had been no local facility for heart treatment in Murree and nearby regions. Patients often had to travel urgently to Rawalpindi, risking their lives due to delays. She stressed that the new facility was established to provide immediate treatment and save lives in emergencies.
