Pakistan, Oct. 2 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has once again strongly criticized those calling for international aid for flood victims, declaring that she will not apologize for defending the dignity of her people. Addressing a ceremony in Lahore honoring matric and intermediate position holders, she asserted that no one should expect her to place a begging bowl in the hands of her citizens.

Maryam Nawaz stressed that she would continue to respond to those who insult the public and insisted that standing up for people's self-respect is her responsibility. She emphasized that she will never apologize for raising her voice to protect the honor of Punjab's citizens, even when pressured to seek foreign aid during the floods.
