Pakistan, Feb. 6 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz canceled all her Basant-related engagements following the deadly Islamabad suicide attack. The mega Basant show at Liberty Square was also called off. She emphasized national unity against extremists and their facilitators.

The announcement came a day after the Tarlai Imambargah blast killed 31 worshippers and injured 169 during Friday prayers. Emergency teams and hospitals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi rushed to assist the victims immediately. Security forces cordoned off the area to secure the site and investigate.
