Pakistan, July 21 -- A new nationwide survey has revealed that nearly 90% of Pakistanis believe democracy is essential for the country's long-term stability and development. The Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR) conducted the poll, gathering responses from over 1,000 individuals across different regions. According to the findings, 89% of respondents expressed confidence in democracy, while only 7% opposed it and 4% did not respond.

Despite this strong belief in democratic values, over half of the participants said they were unhappy with how democracy currently functions in Pakistan.
