A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck late Sunday night, jolting Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and several cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, prompting residents to rush out of their homes in panic.
Tremors were widely felt across Peshawar, Haripur, Abbottabad, Nowshera, Charsadda, Gujranwala, Chiniot, Swat, Mianwali, Mandi Bahauddin, Upper Dir, Wazirabad, Chakwal, and other nearby cities, causing temporary panic among local communities.
People came out of their homes and recited verses from the Holy Quran as a precaution, but fortunately, no casualties or property losses have been reported in any part of the country.
