Pakistan, July 5 -- At least 16 people, including three women and a child, lost their lives after a five-storey residential building collapsed in Lyari's Baghdadi area early Friday morning. The tragedy has sent shockwaves across the city and once again raised serious concerns about construction safety standards.

Rescue teams, including emergency responders and heavy machinery operators, have been working non-stop. So far, nine injured survivors have been pulled from the rubble. However, officials fear that 25 to 30 more people may still be trapped underneath the debris.
