Pakistan, Oct. 12 -- Lebanon has strongly condemned an overnight Israeli airstrike on its southern region that left at least one person dead and several others wounded. President Joseph Aoun denounced the attack as a "heinous aggression" against civilian installations, saying it occurred without any justification. He warned that the timing of the strike-coming just after the Gaza ceasefire-raises serious concerns about Israel's intentions to expand its operations into Lebanese territory.
