Pakistan, Dec. 31 -- The Lahore administration has been directed to ensure strict enforcement of the Kite Flying Ordinance 2025 ahead of the planned three-day "Mehfooz Basant" (Safe Basant) celebrations in the district. The instructions were issued by Lahore Commissioner Marryam Khan during a meeting held on Tuesday.
She announced that kite flying would be permitted only during the officially approved "Safe Basant" from February 6 to 8, 2026, within the limits of Lahore district. Kite flying before February 6 will remain completely banned. She added that the sale of kites and strings would be allowed only from February 1 to February 8.
