Pakistan, July 8 -- The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a new digital identity system called 'Khyber Pass' to improve public service delivery. The launch ceremony was held at the Chief Minister's House in Peshawar, where CM Ali Amin Gandapur officially introduced the platform. Senior officials, cabinet members, and IT experts also attended the event.
The Khyber Pass system is the first of its kind in Pakistan, using a single QR code to connect citizens with multiple services. It will integrate with NADRA and government databases, allowing people to access healthcare, education, taxes, licenses, and property records without filling out forms repeatedly or visiting different offices.
