The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has released Rs8 billion to assist flood-affected areas, confirmed Provincial Finance Adviser Muzammil Aslam. He stated that Rs1.5 billion was disbursed yesterday alone to support urgent relief activities across the province.

Out of the total allocation, Rs1 billion has been dedicated to providing food stamps, while each flood victim has received Rs15,000 in cash to purchase dry ration. The government has also set aside Rs500 million specifically for relief efforts in merged districts.
