Pakistan, Oct. 25 -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi reaffirmed that the tribal people voluntarily joined Pakistan and will always remain loyal citizens of the country.

Speaking at a peace jirga in Bara, Afridi addressed criticism over his nomination and strongly demanded that the federal government immediately release the pending funds for the merged tribal districts. He stressed that the people of these areas are not asking for charity but for their constitutional rights. "We only seek justice and our due share, not alms," he said.
