Pakistan, Jan. 20 -- The Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) announced a major oil and gas discovery in Kohat. The new Baragzai X-1 well will produce 3,100 barrels of crude oil and 81,500 million cubic feet of gas daily. Officials say this marks OGDCL's third significant discovery in the Naspha block within a month.

The spokesperson highlighted that the three discoveries together now yield 9,480 barrels of crude oil per day. This accounts for 14.5 percent of the country's total crude oil output. Authorities believe this is a key milestone for Pakistan's national energy security.
