A 28-year-old butcher from Karachi's Landhi area died of Congo virus on Friday, health officials confirmed. This marks the fifth Congo fever death in Karachi this year and sixth in Sindh province, according to the health department. The man developed symptoms on September 24 and was admitted to a hospital the same day. Despite medical attention, he passed away within hours of admission. His lab tests later confirmed the presence of Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF).
