Pakistan, June 17 -- The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has proposed big increases in traffic fines in its 2025-26 budget. The Finance Bill includes stricter penalties for underage drivers and people using fake driving licences. Officials say the goal is to improve road safety across the province.

For the first time, a separate category has been made for three-wheeled vehicles like rickshaws and loaders. Fines for these vehicles will now range from Rs200 to Rs10,000, based on the violation. If drivers break route permit rules, they will pay Rs5,000-and double that if they repeat the offense.
