ISLAMABAD, Jan. 15 -- The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Wednesday recommended the confirmation of six additional judges of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) and extended the tenure of four others for another six months. The meeting, chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi, took place at the Supreme Court and focused on evaluating the status of additional judges for permanent appointment.

By a majority vote, the JCP recommended the confirmation of Justice Muhammad Tariq Afridi, Justice Abdul Fayaz, Justice Salahuddin, Justice Sadiq Ali, Justice Syed Mudasser Ameer and Justice Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah as permanent judges of the PHC. The four judges w...
