Pakistan, Oct. 2 -- Israeli forces launched a major operation on Wednesday against the Global Sumud Flotilla, a humanitarian convoy attempting to deliver aid to Gaza, arresting around 200 people, including Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and former Pakistani senator Mushtaq Ahmed.
According to flotilla organisers, the detainees represent 37 different countries, among them Spain, Italy, Turkey, and Malaysia. Despite the mass arrests, the mission continues, with more than 30 civilian boats still sailing across the Mediterranean in an attempt to break Israel's naval blockade of Gaza.
