Pakistan, Oct. 2 -- Israeli forces intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla in the Mediterranean, arresting nearly 200 participants including Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and former Pakistani senator Mushtaq Ahmed. The flotilla, consisting of more than 40 civilian boats, carried around 500 parliamentarians, lawyers, and humanitarian activists attempting to deliver medicine and food to Gaza. Organisers reported that 39 boats were seized, leaving only one vessel still sailing towards the Palestinian enclave despite repeated warnings from Israel's navy to change course.
