Pakistan, July 31 -- At least 30 Palestinians were killed and over 300 injured on Wednesday when Israeli forces opened fire on a crowd waiting for humanitarian aid in northern Gaza, according to Gaza's civil defence. The tragic incident occurred near the Zikim crossing point, just southwest of Gaza City, where hundreds had gathered in hopes of receiving food and supplies.

Although the Israeli military denied knowledge of any casualties, it confirmed that its soldiers fired warning shots in response to a perceived threat near the aid distribution area. However, officials at Gaza's Al-Shifa Hospital reported receiving at least 35 bodies, adding to the rising number of civilian casualties amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
