Pakistan, May 9 -- Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon killed one person and injured eight others on Thursday, according to Lebanon's health ministry. The strikes targeted areas near Nabatiyeh, just 12 kilometers from the Israeli border. Despite a ceasefire agreement, Israeli jets launched two waves of heavy attacks that caused widespread panic among residents, especially children in nearby schools.
Lebanon's National News (NNA) reported that huge explosions shook the Nabatiyeh region, sending thick smoke into the sky and triggering fear throughout the southern districts.
