Pakistan, June 14 -- Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, claimed that recent Israeli strikes on Iran were carried out for national self-defense, following intelligence reports that Iran was close to producing materials required for nuclear bombs.

Speaking at the UN Security Council, Danon stated, "We had intelligence suggesting Iran could develop bomb-grade nuclear material within days. We waited for diplomacy, but when it failed, we acted alone-for our protection."

Meanwhile, China's UN Ambassador Fu Cong strongly condemned Israel's military actions, calling them a violation of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He urged Israel to immediately halt its operations against Iran to avoid further escalation. ...
