Pakistan, July 10 -- The starting salvo for the recent conflict between Israel and Iran, dubbed the "12-day war," was fired in the form of targeted air strikes carried out by the Israeli Air Force against top Iranian officials. This decapitation strike was meant to eliminate the entirety of the Iranian military and Revolutionary Guard Corps' leadership. The success of these strikes was severely disorienting for Iran's leadership during the first 24-48 hours of the conflict.
