Pakistan, July 12 -- Islamabad's traffic police have launched a new initiative using drone technology to monitor and penalize traffic violations on the city's busiest roads. This technology is currently active on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway, where it helps enforce traffic laws more effectively.
The Islamabad Police spokesperson explained that drones are tracking common violations such as lane changing without signaling, illegal grafting, vehicle overloading, and dangerous stunts like one-wheeling.
So far, the drones have identified over 300 offenders who have been fined, while more than 350 drivers have received awareness messages about safe driving. Additionally, multiple vehicles involved in serious violations have been seized...
