Pakistan, Oct. 4 -- Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar told the National Assembly that the United States was now the only hope for Gaza peace. He said the UN, EU, and OIC had failed to stop the violence in Palestine. He stressed that Pakistan's stance on Palestine was clear and unchanged, rooted in the vision of Quaid-i-Azam.

Dar repeated that Pakistan supported a two-state solution. He said the only way forward was a sovereign Palestine based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital. He also revealed that several countries had shown interest in defence agreements with Pakistan, similar to its pact with Saudi Arabia.
