Pakistan, June 24 -- TEHRAN - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has announced that Iran is willing to honor the U.S.-brokered ceasefire in the ongoing conflict-but only if Israel also fully abides by its terms.

According to French news AFP, President Pezeshkian made the statement during a phone call with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. He emphasized that Iran will not violate the truce unless provoked by Israeli aggression.

A statement published on the official presidential website confirmed that the two leaders discussed the regional situation and the recently declared ceasefire. President Pezeshkian noted that if the "Zionist regime" respects the agreement, Iran will also refrain from further military action.
