Iran has warned that it will deploy new and more powerful missiles if Israel launches another attack, stressing that its defence system is stronger than the weapons used in the recent 12-day war.
Defence Minister Aziz Nassirzadeh said the missiles fired during the June conflict were built years ago, but Iran now has advanced versions with far greater range and destructive capability, ready for use if required.
In mid-June, Israel launched a large bombing campaign that killed senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians, while Iran retaliated with missile and drone strikes targeting both military and residential locations.
