Iran on Monday executed Bahman Choubi-asl, described by the judiciary's outlet Mizan as "one of the most important spies for Israel in Iran," marking another escalation in the country's shadow conflict with Israel. Authorities said the execution followed his conviction on charges of "corruption on earth," a broad accusation often used in cases of espionage or national security threats.
