Pakistan, June 24 -- BEIJING - In a significant diplomatic development, India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held a high-level meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during his visit to Beijing. The meeting focused on ongoing tensions along the disputed border and the broader strategic relationship between the two Asian giants.
According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Li Jian, the dialogue emphasized the need for mutual respect, cooperation, and peaceful resolution of long-standing border disputes. The two sides discussed the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), where both countries have maintained a tense military standoff since the violent clashes in Galwan Valley in 2020.
