Pakistan, July 24 -- An Indian company shipped $1.4 million worth of HMX explosives to Russia in December, despite strong warnings from the United States against supporting Moscow's war efforts in Ukraine. Customs data revealed that the shipments were sent by Ideal Detonators Private Limited to Russian firms linked to the defense sector.
One of the Russian buyers was Promsintez, a manufacturer with known military ties, according to Ukraine's security service. HMX, also called octogen, is widely used in missile warheads, rocket motors, and advanced military systems. The Pentagon considers it a critical material for Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine.
