Pakistan, July 23 -- India will resume issuing tourist visas to Chinese citizens from July 24, its embassy in China announced on Wednesday. This marks the first time in five years that Chinese nationals will be able to apply for Indian tourist visas.
The suspension began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and was prolonged amid tense diplomatic relations following a deadly border clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley.
The move signals a potential thaw in bilateral ties and could boost people-to-people contact and tourism between the two nations.
