Pakistan, May 17 -- India has officially suspended its trade and educational relations with Turkiye, citing Ankara's continued support for Pakistan amid ongoing diplomatic tensions between the South Asian rivals.
According to a statement from India's Ministry of External Affairs, the decision is part of a broader policy to reassess relations with nations that challenge or question India's sovereignty.
The diplomatic rift deepened after Turkiye voiced strong support for Pakistan during periods of heightened India-Pakistan tensions. In response, Indian authorities have taken a series of measures targeting Turkish interests within the country.
