Pakistan, Nov. 13 -- India has inaugurated a new military airbase near its disputed Himalayan border with China, signaling a significant boost to its defence capabilities in the region. Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh made the inaugural landing of a C-130J transport aircraft at the Mudh-Nyoma air force station in Ladakh, located about 13,000 feet above sea level and capable of supporting fighter jet operations.
The development comes as India and China experience a gradual thaw in relations following a major agreement in October 2024 aimed at easing military tensions along their de facto border.
