Pakistan, April 23 -- India has ended the Indus Waters Treaty, a major water-sharing deal with Pakistan signed in 1960. This historic agreement helped both countries manage river water fairly. Its cancellation marks a serious turn in already tense relations between the two neighbours.

Following this, India also closed the Wagah Border, which is the main land route for trade and travel between the two countries. All civilian movement has been stopped. This move is likely to affect local trade and families who cross the border often.

At the same time, the Indian government has asked all Pakistani nationals living in India to leave the country. This sudden order may be linked to growing political and security tensions in the region.
