Pakistan, July 3 -- A deadly fire at a chemical factory in southern India has claimed the lives of 40 people and injured over 33 others, according to a statement released by Sigachi Industries on Wednesday. The incident occurred on Monday at their manufacturing facility in Telangana state.
At the time of the fire, 143 employees were present inside the plant. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause, while the state government has formed a five-member committee to lead the probe.
