India and the United States will hold trade talks in New Delhi on Tuesday, officials confirmed. The meeting comes weeks after the US imposed heavy tariffs on Indian exports. These tariffs have slowed India's shipments to the US to a nine-month low in August. Rajesh Agarwal, India's chief negotiator, said the talks will be "fast-tracked" but gave no further details.

US Trade Representative Brendan Lynch will visit New Delhi for a one-day meeting. India's exports declined from $37.24 billion in July to $35.10 billion in August. The trade gap between the two countries also narrowed slightly during this period. This slowdown reflects the impact of US tariffs on Indian goods.
